Corporate Business Solutions (Canada) Inc. provides networked multi-function office equipment and software solutions across Canada. The Edmonton-based business, founded in 2001, is best known for their reliable high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and quick response times. 

The primary shareholder at Corporate Business Solutions decided that, after 23 years, the time was right to sell the business to enjoy retirement. They were connected with Grant Thornton for support through this journey. With the help of our M&A team, Corporate Business Solutions was successfully acquired by NextGen Automation Ltd. The buyer had previously acquired multiple other businesses in this industry, which benefits Corporate Business Solutions by providing access to additional resources, entry into new regions, and the possibility to grow into the managed IT services industry.  

Our M&A team supported Corporate Business Solutions throughout the sales process—and helped the shareholders find and evaluate potential buyers and select the one that would best serve their customers and align with their goals. In such a competitive and tight-knit industry, our team helped to ensure that the sellers remained confidential throughout the process to protect their employees and customers. Our team also assisted with negotiations, coordinated with legal counsel, and helped to finalize the purchase agreement.
