By listening carefully and treating my clients as my friends, I focus on uncovering their underlying needs so I can help them minimize their taxes, protect their wealth, and leave a lasting legacy after the sale of their business. Over my 30+ year career as a tax professional, I’ve helped both high-net-worth and corporate clients with their tax planning, as well as their succession and estate planning.
I enjoy working with private companies across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, financial and professional services, energy and natural resources, and construction, real estate and hospitality. I also work closely with our corporate finance and valuations teams to help clients prepare their businesses for sale, identify the optimal buyers and maximize their value.
Along with my hands-on experience, I've completed both the CPA Canada (CICA) In-Depth Tax course and the CPA Canada (CICA) Advanced Tax Issues for Owner Managed Businesses course. I mentor the younger generation at the firm and was an instructor of the Corporate Income Tax Course at Georgian College in Ontario.
Since 2018, I've been an elected Member of the Partnership Board where I've served on all standing committees and have served as Chair of each of the Finance, Governance, and Permanent Compensation Committees.
I’m also pleased to volunteer my services on behalf of important causes in the community. In the past, I was a board member and member of the board executive of the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation and I also partnered with a charitable land trust to help preserve environmentally sensitive land.
My other passions include running, travelling, visiting wineries, and generally enjoying the friendship and laughter of great people.
